New message concerning additional support for Norton’s Teachers: 10/8/24
As things in Norton continue to be difficult, many have asked about additional ways to support our Norton teacher-friends. For those who are interested, we can wear red, white, and black on Monday to show our support. Buildings/groups are encouraged to take pictures with a sign such as “WEA supports NCTA” and post the pictures to their Facebook page (Norton Classroom Teachers Association Community Page).
Thank you for supporting Norton and each other. See you Monday in our Grizzly/Norton colors!
Please read the message below about supporting our teacher friends in Norton City Schools.
Negotiations for the Norton Classroom Teachers Association have been very difficult, and below are the things we can do to support them.
1 – We can join them as they walk in the Cider Fest parade this Saturday morning. You can wear red and black to show your support. Participants will be lining up at 9 a.m. @ Cornerstone (4138 S. Cleveland-Massillon Road). Enter the back driveway of the middle school from Easton Road. Park in the middle school/primary lots and then walk to the parade lineup. NCTA is spot #10 between Norton Historical Society & GenFed Financial.
2 – Write letters of encouragement to their bargaining team. We can deliver your letters to them Wednesday night before they go to the table Thursday afternoon. You can give your letters to one of your building reps and Rob & Patti will connect with the building reps regarding pick up of letters.
3 – Join their Facebook page to learn more and support them (Norton Classroom Teachers Association Community Page).
Thank you for supporting Norton teachers and each other!
